Robert Bonds
Robert BondsChief Executive Officer

Robert is recognized as a leader in education in the United States. Currently, he serves as President of the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC).

Bonds has worked extensively in consulting with universities in the U.S., improving their educational processes. He holds a bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University (WVU) and an MBA from South University. As CEO of CMVC, AmHealth, HireHealth, and co-founder of Aquinas Network, he leads educational transformation through technology and strategic consulting.

Johanna Lane
Johanna LaneChief Operation Officer

Ms. Johanna Lane has over twenty years of experience working in post-secondary education. Throughout her career, she has held key roles in Financial Aid, Student and Career Services, Academics, and Compliance. Prior to her current position as Chief Operating Officer, she served as Vice President of Student and Career Services, Academic Dean, and Compliance Officer.

Johanna holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and holds a master’s degree in educational leadership. Like many of our students, she returned to school while working full-time and raising a family, giving her firsthand insight into the challenges of balancing education, work, and family life.

Johanna is deeply committed to student success and sees her most important role as that of a student advocate. She is passionate about helping students reach their educational goals and improve their lives—and the lives of their families—through education.

Christopher Dorelien
Christopher DorelienCampus President, Orlando Medical Institute

Christopher Dorelien serves as the Campus President of Orlando Medical Institute, bringing over 25 years of experience in higher education leadership with a focus on admissions, student services, and institutional operations. Known for his results-driven leadership and passion for student success, Christopher is dedicated to ensuring OMI continues to provide high-quality training for future healthcare and public safety professionals.

Throughout his career, he has led teams to exceed enrollment goals, improved retention through student-centered practices, and built lasting partnerships with public service departments and community organizations. His commitment to excellence is rooted in the belief that education is a powerful tool for personal and professional transformation.

As a proud father, Christopher is deeply family-oriented and believes in leading with empathy, integrity, and accountability. He is an advocate for community engagement and workforce development and continues to build bridges between education and industry to enhance student opportunities.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, going to the beach, and visiting the range. Christopher is also fluent in both French and Haitian Creole, allowing him to connect with diverse student populations. His leadership style emphasizes collaboration, clear communication, and a shared mission to elevate the student experience and institutional growth at OMI.

Felix Marquez, BA, NRP
Felix Marquez, BA, NRPDirector of Education
He is a well-respected veteran in the emergency medical field with over twenty-five years of experience. Mr. Marquez began his career as a Paramedic for the New York City Fire Department (FDNY). He currently serves the great City of Orlando as Certified Paramedic/Firefighter. Mr. Marquez has over twenty years of instructor experience.

Mr. Marquez currently travels the county providing cadaver training to healthcare professional and the United States Military. He has published his research on Flipped Education and is one of the authors for Jones & Bartlett EMT Flipped Classroom. Mr. Marquez brings with him years of education and experience, having served as faculty of La Guardia and Borough of Manhattan Community College in New York City. Mr. Marquez currently serves as the President Elect for the Florida Association of EMS Educators (FAEMSE). He is also a Veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

Abigail Marquez
Abigail MarquezVice President of Business Development & Community Relations
Abigail’s diverse background brings twenty (20) years’ experience in the field of business administration and management. She brings administrative and office management skills to OMI with over ten years experience as a Legal supervisor for a local Law firm and six years in the business administration field. Abigail attended Valencia Community College and the University of Central Florida. She carries a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration. Abigail has also taken additional courses to enhance her managerial and supervisory skills. She continues to stay informed attending workshops and various seminars.

John Gibson
John GibsonDirector of Continuing Education

John has over 16 years of experience in the fire service, where he rose through the ranks to serve as Assistant Chief of Training. He has been a driving force behind the development and implementation of training programs, shaping the professional growth of countless emergency responders.

John is a Nationally Registered EMT whose dedication and expertise have taken him to some of the most challenging environments, including Iraq, where he played a key role in emergency response and fire safety under austere conditions. His international experience has broadened his perspective on the diverse challenges faced by fire and EMS professionals, fueling his passion for continuous learning and accessible, career-focused training. Committed to staying at the forefront of public safety education, he continues to pursue advanced training. Outside of work, John is a devoted husband and father, guided by values of compassion, dedication, and service.
